What we Believe
The Godhead:
We believe in the Holy Trinity: God is one—Creator of all things—comprised of three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—as evidenced by over 500 plain scriptures that refer to three distinct persons who are one in perfect unity. Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; 1 John 5:7

Jesus Christ:
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man. Hebrews 12:2; Luke 1:35; 1 John 5:20

Holy Scripture:
We believe the Bible -- comprised of 66 books -- in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct in every dimension of private and public life.
We further believe in the literal interpretation of the entire Bible and reject the modern-day tendency to “read between the lines” at the expense of what is plainly stated within them.
1 Corinthians 10:31; 2 Peter 1:20-2; 2Timothy 3:16-17

The New Testament
We believe that every letter, line, verse, paragraph, chapter, and book between Matthew 1:1 and Revelation 22:21 is the contract believers are commanded to obey and teach until Christ returns again for His Church. Matthew 28:20; 2 Timothy 3:16

The Old Testament
We believe that every letter, line, verse, paragraph, chapter, and book between Genesis 1:1 and Malachi 4:6 are necessary in order to understand our new covenant. They demonstrate the consistent, unchanging, and immutable laws of God upon which all covenants with God have been based throughout human history. Matthew 5:17

The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost. 1 Corinthians 12:15-22

The Church
Since Jesus is simultaneously Prophet, Priest, and King, His Church can be neither “congregationalist,” nor “democratical,” nor “presbyterian.” We, as His people, are required to reflect the government(s) for which we are ambassadors. Therefore, we are governed episcopally, under His theocratic, triune authority.
1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 19:11

Life
We believe mankind is made in the image of God and therefore has intrinsic value and therefore must be protected from conception to natural death unless forfeited by means of a capital crime. We reject all forms of slaying of the innocent including euthanasia -- passive or active, infanticide, abortion, and incremental agism (heartbeat bills, 20-week bans, partial birth abortion). We believe all life is precious in the sight of God.
Genesis 1:27; Genesis 9:6; Jeremiah 1:3; Psalm 139:13-16; Exodus 20:13; Isaiah 10:1

Marriage
We define marriage as the permanent, exclusive, comprehensive, and conjugal “one flesh” union of one man and one woman. This biological family is designed for procreation and for the furtherance of the moral, spiritual, and public good.
1) We are to have absolute chastity outside of marriage.
2) We are to have absolute fidelity inside of marriage.
3) We are to accept marriage is a covenant for life that, once made, is only ended by death.
Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 2:18-24; Matthew 19:4-9; Mark 10:5-9; Ephesians 5:31-33

Salvation and Sanctification
We believe in the salvation of individual persons through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Their justification in faith alone comes through personal repentance from their sins.
We further believe in sanctification—the lifelong process of being made holy through grace alone. Sanctification commences in the holy, sacred, and powerful ordinance of immersive baptism and is evidenced by personal holiness and purity of heart and life.
Matthew 4:17; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; John 8:11

Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing through faith in the name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the atonement.
James 5:14; Isaiah 53:3-5; Psalm 103:3; Psalm 107:20; 1Peter 2:24

Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the God of the Bible is the God of today in principle, application, and expression. No gifts or manifestations of the Holy Spirit revealed in the book of Acts have “passed away,” but all are in full function for those who believe in faith.
Matthew 28:20; Acts 2:38-39

The Present and the Future
We believe in the Christian’s hope—the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We further believe in evangelism and missionary work in accordance with the Great Commission.
Revelation 22:20; Matthew 28:19
